I may be naive on my Supreme Court history, as far as what citizen-spawned legislation was in place prior to Roe v Wade; but my understanding is that the “we” who settled that particular case was seven members of the Supreme Court, whose decision was solely about particulars of legality and privacy, rather than whether or not an embryo is a viable human life. I just want to make sure we’re (“we” this time being any and all citizens engaged in the ongoing abortion dialogue in our country) be precise in this discussion.
