I recognize the low regard for white male opinions in the abortion debate, but if I may ask: In what other school of thought does the gender of the person offering an idea have any bearing of whether the idea is true, logical, sound, etc? In other words, do ideas have gender?
Let’s say this same thought experiment were offered by a black female; would you then provide your response other than just blanketly disregarding it as ludicrous?
It’s worth noting that, often, thought experiments are designed to be a bit bizarre and colorful, including those offered by women in favor of abortion, such as Judith Thompson’s violinist.
