I’m not sure your exegesis of the Bible’s view on life is correct. In this passage, the person receiving life is also an adult; we don’t therefore conclude that all life begins in adulthood. This passage of scripture is descriptive about the origin of man, not proscriptive for how each subsequent human would receive life. It also shortchanges any newborns who find themselves in the NICU on breathing-machine life support (which, incidentally, is so-named because it supports life that’s already there, rather than gives it.)
I also don’t know whether a mocking tone and condescending air will ever help an opponent change their point of view..
